What makes the cats popular on the Internet? People would say it’s because of their out-of-context gestures and expression, I would say that’s because technology makes it wholly. Nowadays we just can’t live without the Internet, millions of people share a flood of funny cat photos every day just to make the world go round. Thanks to those hilarious kitty photos, we have a special category for those who are wildly famous because of their unique and unforgettable impact: cat memes. Cat memes come everywhere, you can name some classics such as Smudge the cat in front of the salad and a woman who was yelling at him. See, you can absolutely reimagine the photo in your head by just a few words, that’s what a meme is supposed to represent.
But cat lovers don’t stop at looking at them just for fun. A bunch of cartoon artists jumps into the game to recreate those cat memes, which are cleverer and funnier. One of the artists with an Instagram name called Tactooncat has made a brilliant decision to redraw the memes cartoonishly and has a whooping 150K followers. Tactooncat said: “Basically I just love to draw funny things, especially with cartoon style. For my reference, I always love to see a children’s book, to be honest, cause they are so full of joy and I’m so happy with that.”
