If you are losing hope in love, let’s continue to read a wholesome love story between Scottie, a ginger and white gentleman, who loved a girl next door Sophie at the first sight.

Christiana, Sophie’s human mom, witnessed it all. She usually walked Sophie on the leash in the yard, where Scottie the cat laid his eyes on the mysterious girl who had stolen his purring heart from the start. Scottie was too shy to approach Sophie, he thought it would be probably safe to keep an eye on her from afar.

“In the very beginning when Scottie saw us outside he would run over but keep his distance.” – Christiana recalled.
“After a few times though he just decided to come over and join in following whatever she was doing.” – She continued.
At this point, we all know that Scottie got up the nerve to be closer to his dream girl. The brave boy happened to be a domestic kitty who was living with his human right next door. Like Sophie, he was a rescue from Boston. Turns out, the backyard was a purrfect place to date.

“Our backyards meet so we can easily see when each other are outside.” – Christiana explained.
“In the morning the first thing I do is open the door for Sophie to be able to see into the backyard… many mornings [Scottie is] outside and they watch each other from [their] yards.” – She said.
Scottie was so in love with Sophie, he knew how to steal his future mother-in-law too. Every morning, Scottie patiently waited for Sophie from below her family’s balcony.
“If I go out on the balcony and he sees me he runs over to the driveway, cries up at me, then runs and sits at our back door for me to bring [Sophie] out.” – Christiana said.

As a routine, whenever they met in the backyard, a nose kiss was a must-have ritual to start a strolling date with Sophie. Scottie nailed it all the time, he also pleased his girlfriend by “following whatever she ends up doing.”

So what are they gonna do during the date, you might ask. Bird-watching, wandering around the backyard, nose smooching, purring, and simply looking at each other. Scottie didn’t want to be rude so he didn’t intrude on any dating policy such as grooming, hissing, or playing with Sophie too hard. What a gentleman he was!
“The cutest is when he comes to the door and pushes his head in the door as it opens for [Sophie] to come out. I’m amazed it doesn’t bother her but she just seems to expect him there.” – Sophie’s mom shared.

Sophie was gone. But the precious memories of Scottie and his later girlfriend will always be in his heart and soul. Christiana now is living with another kitty named Louie. Hopefully, Scottie will come out and play with him like the way he used to do with Sophie!
