People usually give up on hope when the time is nearly ended, but actually these moments work wonder. This little tabby kitten was rescued on his last minute and had the happiest life with a new family.

Unagi, a 2-month-old kitten who was left in a middle of the street with a harshly cold weather in June 2016, was picked up and taken to the animal control center in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan by a passer-by. Animal center only allowed a limited time, means only a week maximum for stray cats or ownerless cats to stay or they will be euthanized. Unagi was too adorable to be left so the staff decided to make a short video about this kitten hopefully someone would take him home.

In the nick of time, there was a young woman who saw Unagi’s advertising film by accident at her break time and she realized that he had the exact appearance like her cat at home Suzume. The markings, the lovely eyes, and even the fur color urged this woman to adopt him immediately.
4:30AM, the time had come, little kitten didn’t know he would be saved by a loving mom, people would think he would be set up to put to sleep and be gone forever. But the lady showed up, took the right for an identical mini Suzume. Unagi was successfully rescued!

“He was 2.5 months old and weighed 860 grams, a bit bigger than Suzume when I got him.” – human mom said.
When Unagi arrived to his new home, Suzume was so excited to meet his ‘twin’, he came and saw a newbie and they greeted each other by distance. The woman understood that she should give them space to get to know each other since an adult cat needed time and scent to get acquainted with Unagi.

And if you’re asking about how many percent do they look alike, look at those photos! Feels like Suzume just opened a photocopy store, but their personalities are different. Unagi loves to cuddle and snuggle with his older brother! He will always be around with Suzume and not let any moment to get away from him. As seen in the photo, when Suzume was chilling in the bowl, Unagi didn’t hesitate to curl up and squeeze his little body to fit in. We can obviously see how happy Unagi was, thanks to a Japanese kind-hearted!
