Guy Finds Empty Space Behind Wall, Decides To Build A Tiny Bedroom For His Cat

Since the end of 2019, the worldwide pandemic certainly has been making our lives a lot more miserable. It has cost serious problems such as economic near-standstill, unemployment, social distancing, etc. However, we have to admit that there are stills good things that can be taken out of the situation. For example, people start to pay more attention to health care, do more exercises, have more me-time, take up new hobbies like cooking or painting, etc. Some of them, and the number is definitely increasing, are finding great interest in DIY works, making hand-made homes/bedrooms for their pets in particular. Bryan Davies is one of them. He hand-built a bedroom for his newly adopted baby, Wyatt.

Bryan was having his house under remodeling when he came upon a space in his bedroom. It wasn’t really that big, but it was enough for him to decide to turn that little vacancy into a delightful surprise for his new cat Wyatt. Bryan got on to build a cozy bedroom from scratch. Well, Wyatt’s room might be small, but it sure was even more furnished than any of ours. It had a comfy bed, a rug, a scratching pole, wall decorations, and even a TV. Bryan’s tiny project immediately caught the attention of the media. His Twitter post got over 55.2K likes and 16K retweets.

Wyatt was lucky to be in such a loving family. Bryan actually cared about the little guy’s basic needs and interests. After some time of observation, Bryan found out that Wyatt’s favorite pastime was to watch squirrels and birds from the window. As winter came by, and Wyatt’s simple leisure was not met, Bryan decided that he had to have his own TV. So the tiny project was created. Little did you know, the entire room was only just the bonus that comes along with the TV.

In an interview with The Dodo, Bryan shared: “He spends a lot of time in there, asking to watch his show before taking a nap. He zones out to the screen like a normal teen. And he naps—hard. He really does enjoy it as much as a kid who finally got his own room.”

Wyatt wasn’t there all the time of course. He had other places to visit too

But now he certainly had a special place of his own.

Cats may act like divas sometimes, but when it comes to leisure, they actually settle for the simplest stuff like watching birds chirping, chilling in such weird places as glass containers, cardboard boxes, or even plastic bags. However, that does not mean we could not go the long way and spoil them with goodness and privileges. Cats have been proven to have positive effects on humans’ physical and mental health, so it is reasonable to give our little helpful angels the best of everything.
