It’s been more than a year since this cat’s owner died, but the cat hasn’t been away from the blue headstone of the old lady’s since then. No matter how this guy wanted to take her home and feed her, loyalty of a cat convinced her to return to the former owner’s grave.
A 32-year-old guy Keli Keningau Prayitno, a pass-by from Central Java, Indonesia, first heard the mourning kitty and tried to save the cat by adopting her. But it didn’t work – the next day the cat was in the owner’s grave, as always. A stranger tried to comfort her also gave her food and water, but the cat refused to be at his home, back to where she was mourning for her owner’s death, rolled the dirt and expected nothing but sleep in her grave every night.
“Since the cat’s mother died she has stayed here at the grave. She does not want to go home. She has been here for almost a year.”
“I thought she was homeless and tried to help but every time she would keep returning to the same place.”
Keli said he had followed the cat and found out the ex-owner had been an old lady named Kundari who had recently died.
“She sleeps there and meows. ” Keli told The Mirror. “It’s very sad to see. It shows just how close animals are to their owners.”
Cats may look cold and detached, but the reality is contrast, we can see how sad but loyal she is in front of the owner’s death. They would feel anxious and lose interest in the outside world and like to hide from themselves. In some serious cases, it is advisable to contact the veterinary expert to discuss about anti-anxiety dosing for cats.
