“Left My Cat Alone With A Camera For 30 Minutes And Now I Can Never Leave Again”

Our pets love our presence and they don’t let any chance slip out of their paws. Especially, this quarantine time, cats and dogs get more attached to us than ever since we have to work from home. People usually say time is golden, and that phrase is absolutely true in this case: Isola the white ragdoll cat was filmed meowing sadly when his owner was away for 30 minutes.

“Left my cat alone with a camera for 30 minutes and now I can never leave again”

Ida Myrin is this clingy cat’s owner, she set up a hidden camera at the corner of the house and it was recording a heartbreakingly mournful scene: Isola first booped the camera. Oh, that one was adorable actually. But in the next scene, he was gripping the leash coming from the kitchen and he took his eyes searching for Ida. Having no clue to find the owner, he started to meow constantly hoping for the last chance. This time, he was meowing even louder and sadder!

So many people expressed and share the sorrow with Isola in the video, there was also someone who asked the owner to add a cat pal so this poor kitty wouldn’t have to feel left out. Ida shared that the video was recorded when she took another kitty to the vet.

“At first, we laughed, especially when he booped the camera, but then it was actually kind of heartbreaking.” – Ida said.

Isola’s owner also exposed a bit about her beautiful ragdoll: “Isola has a very playful and loving personality, but sometimes he gets lazy. “He is kinda spoiled and lazy, but also loving. He always demands our attention and yells every time he doesn’t get it. He’s always moving so that he can see us both, he loves a good cuddle but hates faces. When he was a kitten he often stopped what he was doing to randomly hit the floor instead and he has NO ball control. We also think that he is a bit claustrophobic. He loves feet. LOVES.”

The clingy behavior arose when the quarantine time had put everyone together in one house, so that was why Isola felt abandoned when the owner was going out for just within 30 minutes.

“He has always been very attached to us, but lately, he’s gotten more used to always having somebody around. He can’t stand us working and focusing on other things than him at the moment.” – explained Ida.

However, Ida explained that she already has another cat

When asked how Isola would react when she came home, Ida said: “He didn’t even come to say hi (like he usually ALWAYS does), but went straight to the other cat to smell him.”

Ida said she didn’t mean to hurt him and she just wanted to see how he would behave when nobody was around. Happily, they are now living under one roof and no one gets hurt emotionally. Isola enjoys his catto friend’s company.

“They usually get along, but the other cat is a 9-year-old man with integrity so he doesn’t always appreciate Isola’s company. But they groom each other and sleep together from time to time.”
