Men And Cats: Photographer Challenges ‘Crazy Cat Lady’ Stereotype

Many people have generalized a woman who’s single, without kids, and living with cats as a “crazy cat lady” but it’s worth being crazy of cats! There’s nothing wrong about loving a cat and have them to be your companion no matter how the gender is. A New Yorker photographer David Williams broke that stereotype by capturing and publishing a stunning photo series called “Men & Cats” in 2009. The whole concept was simple and natural but extraordinary: a dude sitting next to a kitty in a different physiques, backgrounds, and cat breeds. The series rapidly earned his fame after that by a lot of cat fanciers.

“I wanted to show that regardless of gender, many people have found the joy that cat companionship can bring.” – David stated.

Besides, a feline can cure your anxieties, your depressions, those ugly feelings have no gender, so why would we have to label anything?
