Rescue stories always touching and meaningful to us, this true story is one of them. Not about a newborn kitty was found in the garbage, also not about a grown-up stray cat wandering around the street, it’s everything in between. There was an 8-month old cat named Mikey who just lost her kittens. Her offspring was too weak so they passed away. Bringing the grief alongside with her chest was full of milk, waiting her kids to suckle, Mikey seemed depressed.

Hillary – Mikey’s owner – who wanted to do everything to comfort the poor cat, she decided to call Dori’s Darlings, a cat rescue organization run by Dori Hillman in Houston. Amanda Lowe and Kellie Nicole the fosters reached out to Hillary and Mikey with three other kittens who were devastatingly abandoned before the day Mikey lost her prematurely born kittens.
With the kindness and empathy, Amanda gently whispered to Mikey about her dire situation and “I have some babies for you so you can be a mommy again.”

Amanda placed the 3 new kittens Teddy, Abby, and Lily in front of Mikey the mama cat.
People started to see Mikey happily licking, bathing, cuddling, and feed breasting her new adopted children after 15 minutes. She didn’t feel the same anymore they could tell. They’re now belonged together ever after!
“This was just an awful thing she went through (losing all of her babies) and this will be healing for her.” – Amanda said.
Disclaimer: Mikey was thought to be a male kitty but after being brought to the vet for being neutered she was told to be a pregnant momma cat.
