Students Come Up With An Ingenious And Funny Graph To Stop People From Feeding Their Overweight Campus Cat

We all have the same bad habit: can’t stand the marvelous eyes of the cats. So once they show us their wide-open eyes to ask for food, we definitely give them what they want. Cheeto the chubby cat in the California college might be the champion in this aspect. Students really love how adorable the cat is so they constantly give Cheeto food and they didn’t notice that the cat had enough for his meal. A small team in the college came up with the most hilarious posters to warn people to stop giving him food.

UC Davis College of Letters and Science in Davis has a purrfect mascot around their Physics building. His name is Cheeto and students love to see him wandering around the campus. Because of the fact that he was given too much food when people pass by, he is getting chubbier, beyond the normal cat’s weight.

“Cheeto, the ginger cat who hangs out around the Physics building and in the college campus, is looking more and more like a cheese puff. Please don’t feed him. He’s overweight and squirrels eat the extra food.” – They wrote on their Facebook page.

They put a feline body condition chart and point out where Cheeto is at by circling the 2 last stages of the cat’s body on the poster. Under the chart, they also compose a ‘letter’ for people who intend to come over and feed Cheeto.

“His name is Cheeto and he has a DESIGNATED feeder from the physics department every morning! We quite like this cat as he provides valuable emotional support when Physics shatters our souls.

He has become far too overweight and for his health, please do not feed him – no matter how much he begs! And he will beg. Because he knows we are suckers!

Also, squirrels like to eat extra food, and they are getting heart disease (see Figure 1).”

The physics students have even illustrated the correlation between Cheeto’s food ratios and squirrel heart disease on a graph

The funniest part is they spend time making the correlation to illustrate what happens if they give the overload amount of food for Cheeto. The food which is not finished by the cat will be eaten by ‘the squirrels next door’ but the students of the college stated that there will be heart problems to squirrels if they consume too much food.
