True friendships have a way of enduring. Nguhi Muturi, a nine-year-old girl from Dallas, Texas, adopted a kitten. She told the Press Association, “I adored him to pieces and used to write about him for every daily notebook post in school.” “We adopted him as a kitten a few months after moving into this house.” Panther and Nguhi lived happily together until the daughter grew up and had to go to college. Panther, on the other hand, left during this time.
“He sneaked out of the house and didn’t return.”
Nguhi eventually came to terms with her loss and went on. After five years and a few strange coincidences, a cat like Panther appeared at the Muturi’s home. Nguhi’s parents became suspicious and organized a comprehensive paw examination. Their long-lost kitty, you see, lacked claws on his front paws. And, by a strange coincidence, the cat was Panther, who was still hanging around in the same area five years after he went missing.
Panther was transferred to a shelter in a city 15 miles away when he ran away, it turns out. A woman adopted him and raised him for a few years before handing him over to her parents. The woman’s parents happened to be Nguhi’s next-door neighbors, which was a happy coincidence.
Nguhi stated on Twitter, “I can’t believe this is genuine since I’m still in shock.” Panther’s old owners insisted on keeping him, but they concluded it was not possible and gave him back because a new cat and dog were already growing up in their home. “It was heartbreaking, but I can’t be sorry because today was absolutely surreal,” she says.

“They are lovely people,” Nguhi said of her neighbors. “I hope they don’t get irritated by my frequent visits, but now that I know he’s close by, I’m not going to lose him again!”
