Megusta
Cats are both lovable and unpredictable. These domestic felines have been described as mysterious, independent, slightly gruff but cuddly, standoffish, and comfort-loving. It’s probable that while describe a cat’s personality, we all use the same words. They are, however, much more than that, and their attitudes frequently contradict everything we assumed they were capable of. Then we realize: there’s no way to foresee how these amazing little animals will behave. No matter how close they have become to humans, they will always surprise us with something new.
We narrate the story of Cathode, the speed-obsessed kitten who enjoys extreme sports, and we’ll show you how she spends her days with her owner, Rémy.

The first days of Rémy and Cathode’s life together
About 6 years ago, this inspirational story began. Rémy wanted to adopt a cat, so he went to an animal shelter with that goal in mind. He saw Cathode among many other kittens, and she walked right up to him to say hello as soon as she noticed him. In some ways, it might be said that she selected her owner rather than the other way around.

Cathode’s early days consisted of what we all assume domestic cats enjoy doing during the day: lying in the luxury of a good, soft cushion, occasionally entertaining guests, napping, and cuddling with her owner. Rémy felt bad for providing her with little more than an apartment existence, despite the fact that he could see she was very happy. He wanted Cathode to be as enthusiastic about the outdoors as he was. As a result, he decided to go a step farther.
Cathode’s actual love was quickly found by Rémy
Rémy used to only take Cathode for walks while holding her in his arms, assuming that this would make her feel more secure and comfortable. He quickly learned, however, that rather than being terrified of the outside world, she was growing to love the outings, which were no longer in her owner’s arms after a while. Yes. What had started off as a normal stroll quickly gained traction, and Rémy quickly realized that Cathode was a fan of extreme sports.

Bike riding, skiing, paragliding, rowing, and any other sport that entailed seeing new areas and traveling with her owner became the kitten’s favorite pastime. Another thing that piqued the interest of this sturdy co-pilot was poking her face out the window and feeling the wind through her whiskers. Rémy was always aware of how much she enjoyed it, especially when they were riding on his motorcycle together.

Rémy then designed a custom helmet for Cathode
Rémy used his technical talents to create a helmet for Cathode that had goggles to protect her eyes while yet allowing her to enjoy the wind in her whiskers with all the safety precautions in place. He made a paper mold initially, then redesigned it on the computer before printing a three-dimensional version. And this was just the start of Cathode’s “motorcycling” life, with many more to follow.

Rémy’s biggest joy is seeing how happy a kitten who had been abandoned and sad has become. They both have faith in each other and feel safe and content in each other’s presence. These daring comrades have grown into a true family, and their relationship is unbreakable, much like Rémy’s helmet.
