This New ‘Vaccine’ Can Prevent You From Being Allergic To Cats

If you are in the same boat as my friend, please let me know. Cats are her absolute favorite. But she is allergic to them to the point of death. When she pets a catto, she sneeze uncontrollably till she resemble a survivor of some mysterious alien virus that has decimated countless solar systems. She begins wheezing like if she were 175 years old. Remember The Lord of the Rings’ Eye of Sauron? That’s how her eyes look after any feline even casts a glance in her direction. The agony, oh the agony of existential existential existential existential existential existential existential existential And all she wants to do right now is cuddle with a cat.

Here are some great ‘mews’ to brighten your day. Scientists have developed a cat “vaccine” that can prevent you from becoming allergic to these adorably affectionate and proud critters. In summary, cats are given this injection to reduce the amount of allergen that causes us to sneeze. I don’t know what else to say if it isn’t a reason to rejoice. Everyone who loves felines but can’t be near them due to health issues is likely to cry tears of joy, not tears of allergic problems.

The wonderful minds behind this allergy cure deserve to be lauded in the same way that the Ancient Egyptians lauded cats. The HypoCat ‘vaccine’ was developed by researchers at the University Hospital Zurich in the country of chocolate, cows, and cuckoo clocks (i.e. Switzerland). Their study was published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
One of the researchers who helped develop the cat allergy cure, Martin Bachmann, spoke with us about the study. “This project has taken us more than five years to complete. Cat allergy is a major issue that makes life difficult for cat owners who are allergic to cats. As a result, our method could have significant ramifications.”

The vaccination would be accessible “sometime in 2022,” according to Bachmann. “We can’t give a precise pricing at this time,” the researcher said, “but it will undoubtedly be inexpensive for pet owners and in line with other veterinarian products.” This is wonderful news for allergic cat owners.

“We feel the statistics and findings are sufficient to support our investment in further development,” Bachmann said when asked about the sample size for testing the ‘vaccine.’ This is also reflected in the fact that our work was published in JACI, the leading allergy publication. More safety and efficacy testing studies will be started in 2020.”
“Both the CEO and Chairman have cats,” Bachmann told that. For what it’s worth, the latter is allergic and has vaccinated his animals, claiming that it helps — we’re not sure if we’ll be able to overcome his prejudice, though.” Bachmann further intimated that the study team is “starting” work on a ‘vaccine’ for dogs to reduce allergen production.

The science behind the ‘vaccine’ for cats with allergies is straightforward. According to IFLScience, our feline rulers create the protein Fel d 1, which is one of five allergenic compounds produced by cats. Around one in ten persons in the West, including me, are allergic to this protein. Fortunately, the Swiss tested their HypoCat ‘vaccine’ on 54 cats, which developed antibodies that blocked Fel d 1. Hooray!

This is one of those instances in which everyone benefits. This is fantastic news for anyone who suffers from allergies. This is even great news for our loved ones who can’t bear it when we cough and sneeze all the time. It’s also good news for cats because fewer will be relinquished to animal shelters as a result of people or their family members developing allergies to them.

We should, however, keep our expectations in check. Just a smidgeon. This miraculous remedy is still a long way from improving my (and your) life. The ‘vaccine’ may be ready within the next year, but that is still a long time away. For the time being, allergy sufferers will have to content themselves with browsing wholesome cat posts on Gidypet.
If only someone could come up with ‘vaccines’ for dogs, flowers, fruit trees, and dusty sofas, my friend would be able to ditch his anti-allergy hazmat suit and gasmask…
