We are pretty sure every one has heard about a story of stray cats once in their life. Today, we want to bring an amazing one that shows their best effort to save a little feline named Champ. He is such a brave boy. This small kitten was not expected to live, but he defied all odds.
Check out the story below and let us know what your thoughts are.
Four kittens were abandoned in a box made entirely of tissue paper at a service station in Somerset, England, in late August. The kittens had just been born, and their umbilical cords were still linked.
The kittens were taken to the Animals in Distress Rescue Center as soon as possible. Even though they understood their odds were bleak, staff members there began working around the clock to attempt to preserve the little kittens.
“When newly-born animals first feed from their mother, they obtain colostrum from the mother’s milk, which carries antibodies to protect them from sickness,” said Rowana Rowan, fundraising and communications officer for Animals in Distress Rescue Center. “They usually don’t survive if they don’t get the immunity that nature intended since they can’t fight illnesses.”
Three of the kittens died of an infection in their second week, despite the fact that they were cared for 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
However, one kitten miraculously survived.
Employees gave him the name Champ and continued to love and care for him as he defied all odds and grew into a strong, courageous kitty.
Champ has won the hearts of everyone at the Animals in Distress Rescue Center at the age of eight weeks.
Every day, he gets stronger…
… and it’s impossible to say no to that gorgeous face.
“Champ is turning into a mascot for our rescue group,” Rowan added. “We are extremely proud of him, and his survival is nothing short of a miracle.”
