Woman Almost Accidentally Kills Her Cat After It Plays With Lilies, Warns Others About Its Danger

Flowers seem unharmful and they are pleasant to look at in some corners of the house or office. Meanwhile, bringing a feline to your workplace is another cure to get away from the stressful workload. Unfortunately, you can only choose one, or else you could unintentionally ruin a cat’s life. That case happened to Lindsey Warnock when she let her kitty Willow play with lilies, the pollen of the flowers stuck in Willow’s neck. Suddenly, her gut felt seemingly wrong so she decided to Google it. Turns out, the lilies and other kinds of flowers are really toxic for cats. She almost killed her cat with pollen’s toxins which would have happened if she didn’t do the research soon.

Warnock didn’t have a second thought at all, she threw the cat in the shower and washed off the harmful stain of lilies. She immediately rushed Willow to the Blue Pearl Emergency & Specialty Hospital in Georgia, U.S. She was worried sick about her fluffy ball who just wanted to play with nature. The vet and Warnock were relieved a bit when the doctor found the pollen was just around Willow’s mouth and tongue.

After 2 days of hospitalization with activated charcoal, fluid therapy, and some essential medications, Willow was safe and sound. Nothing can describe how happy Warnock was but she was still guilty for letting those unexpected things happened to her lovely cat. She shared with the world, surprisingly, lots of people who owned a cat had never acknowledged it at all. This is a valuable lesson that everyone needs to absorb aside from knowing what food that a cat shouldn’t eat.

The poisonous pollen from flowers can cause so many diseases to cats: vomiting, loss of appetite, drooling, critical kidney failure, and even death. Even if cats may survive from being executed by toxins, they will live with severe kidney problems forever. So be careful with the surroundings, make sure you know everything is good for your cat before adopting them or buying something. Warnock’s life lesson is massively shared on the Internet, hoping nobody would do the same as her.
