Back in the day when Anastasia adored cats so bad but she figured out owning a pack of 8 dogs was gonna be pretty dangerous for a cat. She didn’t give up on the thought of living happily with the cats, though, the woman decided to do lots of research about the compatible cat breeds for them pooches to get along with.

After days of acknowledging enough about the cats and her country, she immediately rescued a tiny baby lynx from a fur farm where people breed animals for a fur coat. A little cub was too cute to be taken his life for cruel intentions.

“I named him Geralt after Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher.” – Said Anastasia.

The woman was hoping the pack of doggos would welcome a newcomer, and it was not out of her expectation. In other words, the dogs helped Anastasia a lot when the wild cat was still not completely matured. The woman was so proud of her furry children: “They played with the kitten, allowed him to chew their ears, to sleep on their bellies, and, of course, to steal their food.”

“Surprisingly, the dogs helped us a lot with Geralt’s care. They played with the kitten, allowed him to chew their ears, to sleep on their bellies, and, of course, to steal their food”

“And Banshee, our senior dog, took the baby lynx under her wing”

“Geralt was growing up a naughty kitty, but he definitely is the life and soul of the huskies’ party”

“Moreover, he’s familiar with one of my horses, Texas!”

“It was a long journey, but I gave him all my love and managed to raise and tame him successfully. He is something in between cat and dog”

“When Geralt was one year old, I rescued one more kitten, a cute baby girl”

Besides having a strong bond with the dogs, Geralt also befriended Texas, who appeared to be a gorgeous brown and white horse. Geralt the lynx was grown up with the helpful and caring hand of his beloved owner Anastasia in a snap. When he was 1 year old, the woman wanted to have another lynx which she also rescued from the fur farm.

“She got the name Bulochka, which means “bun” in our language because she’s so sweet!” – Anastasia shared.

Once again, her animals surprised her and she learned a lot from their sweet and loving characteristics. When Anastasia brought another itty-bitty lynx home, Geralt felt relatable quickly because they were both rescued from the death. Geralt gently gave Bulochka lots of cuddles and affection as if she was his daughter.

“Wild lynxes are loners, and I was ready for my cats to live separately, but Geralt surprised me. He accepted little Bulochka as if she was his daughter”

“Our friends were joking that we should name her Ciri instead of Bulochka”

“And since then, my lynxes are thick as thieves. Just look at these pretty sleepy noses!”

“After raising two lynxes, I can say with confidence that the most challenging thing in a rescue is health”

Anastasia also exposed her experience about adopting and raising wild animals: “When you decide to adopt or rescue a pet or help an animal in need, it’s crucial to remember that rescuing is just the beginning. You have to assess your resources and willingness to provide the one you rescue with a good life.”

“Due to the aim of breeding on the fur farm, animals’ health isn’t a priority”

“Geralt has broken his elbow and a toe once, and he is a quite healthy and lucky one!”

“Taming and training the lynx isn’t so difficult. They use a simple cat litter box and are trained to walk on a leash”

“And they purr! The same way as domestic cats do, but much louder”

“Now, I enjoy my life with all my lynxes, huskies, and horses and I love helping people who decide to rescue big cats, to raise and tame them”
