Attention was drawn to the Twitter account Shannoncooperox when she uploaded a post about a situation she encountered recently. The case was about Shannon soaking her neighbor’s kid wet after he pulled a prank on her cat – pouring water on him and startled, scared him away. The kid’s dad was not quite chill about what happened.

Shannon’s post attracted unexpected reactions online, with more than 578k people liked her thread, another 70.2k retweeted it, and the numbers kept increasing! She was also flooded with messages, with both responses for her tweet, and also some opportunistic jerks who sent inappropriate pictures of themselves.

The post’s comment section was fired up because users started to debate over the matter: one side stands by Shannon’s action, claiming that she did nothing wrong and for the kid is “what goes around comes around”, the other side thought Shannon was petty and immature to do such revenge on a kid. Meanwhile, the neutral group of people explained that everyone involved has faults to blame and that there are no winners in this story.

However, the case was eased when Shannon said the kid and his dad were jesting about what happened later on and they are all friends, no harsh feelings afterward. She also corrected that the ‘culprit’ is actually 13 but looks like a ten-year-old.
